Sleight of Hand
18”x18”
In this series I am exploring the way simple shapes play and work together to create a visual story - not an illustration of anything, but a story of their own. The shapes are simple and meaningless yet we naturally assign them meaning. My intent is really to gently guide the viewer through the piece with negative space.
Layers and layers of encaustic paint (bees wax & damar resin), natural fiber paper, ink, oil, gesso and medium on 1.5" cradled wood panel.
The edges are a soft gray. Signed, dated and titled on the back. Ready to hang!
Free shipping to the US 48 and DC!
