Nine 12x9 cradled wood panels make up this encaustic mixed media art piece. In the photo they are hanging spaced approximately 3 inches apart making it roughly 42x34, this can be adjusted to fit your space.

Layers of clear encaustic medium create a thick translucent surface which draws the viewer into the piece. In areas where the wax application is thickest there is a subtle depth to the wax. I use a torch to manipulate and fuse the wax this gives my surfaces a beautifully textured finish.

Encaustic (bees wax & damar resin), ink, gesso and oil on cradled 3/4 inch wood panels. The pieces are each numbered and number 9 is signed, dated and titled on the back. These hang easily with two push pins each, they do not have hanging wire as I have discovered they hang more flush against the wall without it. There are occasional stray yummy wax drips on the sides which are all painted a soft gray.
